So, I rarely do actual grocery shopping at Kroger. Most of the items there are more expensive than Aldi or Meijer. However, I saw there were a ton of Ibotta rebates I could get there this weekend; so I decided not to even step into Meijer!
I’ve found myself obsessed with the RXBars that you see below. They can be pretty expensive ($1.99 for a single bar at regular price!), so I’ll only buy them if they’re on a good sale and I have coupons. This time, Kroger had them for $1.50, and were a super good deal after my coupons and Ibotta rebates. I bought all different flavors (You can even see all the ingredients on the front of each bar), but I’ve only tried Chocolate Sea Salt so far. It’s amazing.
Besides that, I was able to stock up on some non-food items at Sam’s Club as well! Here’s what I bought and what we’re making this week:

How do you decide when to stock up on different items? I was $15 over budget this week (and I still didn’t get everything I wanted to) because there was really good sales on items that I use a lot (canned beans-.69 each, vegetable broth carton 2.88 instead of 4.99). I just couldnt say no when next week they will be back to reg price!

Oh my gosh, that's so hard. Did you know those items were on sale before you got to the store, or were they a surprise sale? If I know beforehand that items I want are on sale, I'll plan the cheapest meals I can to save money. I'll do at least one or two pantry meals; that really helps, and I can still get the stuff I want!
I also usually set aside like $5.00 for those little surprise markdowns. And sometimes, I just have to throw in the towel and say "Not this week". That really hurts, but I know these items will go back on sale eventually!
