Fun stuff happened this weekend: I made freezer meals!
So I’m teaching a freezer meal class in early June; and I had to come up with a freezer meal session that my students could take home and do themselves. In order for them to make these meals, I had to do it first!
I made a total of 11 meals which we’ll probably eat for the next two weeks. And the best part is: I had a lot of the ingredients at home already! I didn’t have to buy any meat or tortillas, which helped dramatically with the cost.
If you’re wondering how I did it all, don’t worry- Not only will my students receive this, but you will too! As soon as I finish it all, you’ll be getting a copy, so keep an eye out!
So because I didn’t have to spend much money on the freezer meal supplies, I had a lot left over to buy a few things- like ten pounds of strawberries. Yep. It was either pay $10 for 10 pounds of strawberries, or $8 for a 4-pound bag of frozen berries at Sam’s Club.
I washed, chopped, and froze 8 pounds of the strawberries and kept the other two for snacking. The frozen ones go great in my yogurt parfaits!
