Today’s a big day. Why, you ask? Because this grocery post can now be found in VIDEO FORM!
That’s right, I’m diving into the world of Youtube. Video is definitely where it’s at, and it’s actually much easier to talk about what I bought and why I bought it when I’m on video. So for the moment, I’m doing both a post AND a video. Let me know what you think!
Also, in case you missed it- I released another video on Friday that showcased all of Allison’s lunches from the week. If you need inspiration on how to fill your child’s lunch box, make sure you watch the video!
The Fall weather is finally here; and as you can tell from all the pumpkin recipes I’m making, I’m already basking in its glory. Going out for a run in the 50-ish degree weather was AMAZING!
I had a few impulse purchases this weekend. Part of it was because they looked good; and part of it was because Allison said she wanted to try new things. The three main ones were:
- Frozen fish
- Frozen chicken nuggets
- Brownie batter hummus
The fish and chicken she tried Friday night. The chicken was a hit (She ate like 14 nuggets) but the fish was just so-so. I haven’t even told her about the hummus yet, so let’s hope she gets some before I eat the whole thing.
Here’s what I bought this week. Make sure you watch the video too for extra details!

Love reading your grocery post. Not a fan of video post only because I read these while on lunch at work and with videos I can't get the sound. Will miss your posts if you go to total videos.
Our menu this week: M- Husband's Delight Casserole T- Baked Crack Chicken with Au Gratin Potatoes W- Best Mexican Casserole w Mexican Street Corn T- 3 Envelope pot roast with potatoes and carrots F- I have Bunco and the theme is Tailgate food so I'm making Slow Cooker Smothered Frito Taco Bowls (Bunco is at my house 9-10 months out of the year) So I make enough to also feed my family dinner that night. S- Mexican Chicken Casserole with Twice baked pototes
Breakfast for the week will be ham, egg and cheese on toast, bologna and fried egg sandwiches, peanut butter on bagels or oatmeal Lunch is always left overs from dinner Snacks are fruit (that I canned) or apples and bananas I will probably also make a pan of brownies when I get home tonight for snacks.
We are a little behind since we went out of town this weekend so some of the things I usually do on Sunday I have to do tonight when I get home from work.
Thanks for always sharing it's great to see what other people spend and serve for meals! It helps keep encouraging me to keep meal planning.

Thanks for sharing your menu, Rebecca!! That Crack Chicken sounds amazing.
And thanks for your feedback about posts versus video. =) It actually wasn't too bad doing both at the same time, so I'll continue doing that!
