$75 Weekly Shopping and Menu 2-5-18

Meal plan, grocery list, and coupon deals for 2-5-18. Want to know what a family of 3 eats for $75 a week? Check back every Monday!

This week was super easy! I managed to stock up on lots of frozen veggies and snacks due to some sales, coupons, and Ibotta rebates. To be honest, I wasn’t using Ibotta for awhile because I had zero space on my phone for any more apps. Until I get a new phone in a few months, I decided to delete Spotify where I listened to music; and that freed up a TON of space, so now I have Ibotta again! I only need $4.00 to cash out for a gift card, so let’s see what kind of good deals I can get next week.

I have to make a confession, and I’m rather embarrassed: I don’t think I’ve eaten an actual bowl of cereal since high school. Last week I decided to eat the last of the cereal I was using with yogurt, with milk instead. And a sliced banana. And it was absolutely amazing! I’ve also discovered I prefer whole milk over skim, so we’re now buying that instead. Cereal will now make its way into my breakfast rotation at least a couple days a week!

Two stores this week and I declared myself done! Here’s what I bought and stocked up on this week:

Hi Jaime,

My total for the week was $73.05! I'm getting better at this, I think. I do have a question: I have see in previous posts that you occasionally go out of town on the weekends, so I'm curious how you handle your food budget? Do you add in eating out with weekly grocery money or have a separate "eating out" budget a week?

That's awesome, Cristina! We have a separate eating out budget, so when I know there's a day that week when we're eating out, I can use the extra money I would have spent on dinner to stock up on other things we need. I love those kind of weeks!
