Do you ever have weeks where you’re gung-ho about making healthier meals, adding lots of vegetables, and feeling good about life? And then the next week it’s like “Eh, macaroni and cheese every day.”
I feel like I’m the second one this week.
And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I like easy comfort food, and I was feeling particularly lazy about meal planning for this week. Part of it is because we’re eating out twice and didn’t have to use as much grocery money on dinners; plus I’m using stuff from my pantry which cut costs even more. BUT LOOK- FROZEN VEGGIES! When I saw Meijer had veggies on sale for $1.00, we ran there on Sunday evening, the day of the sale, to grab as many as we could before they ran out. Frozen broccoli is still missing for some reason, but I got a bunch of California veggies; no, of course seven bags isn’t overkill!
Next week will be better I think, but I’m happy about what I got. Especially Big Lots and their 20% off everything sale. Hello, Pumpkin Cheerios! So, when you look at what I bought this week, try not to judge me too hard!
