$75 Weekly Shopping and Menu 7-29-19

Image of groceries with the title "$75 Weekly Shopping and Menu"

In case you missed it last week, I made some freezer meals to experiment with! This week, we’re going to be eating most of them to see how they turned out. I already tried the Stuffed Pepper Casserole but the rice didn’t cook (You can check out my Facebook post). So I bought the ingredients again, and this time I’m cooking everything on High instead of Low. If it still doesn’t work, I’ll need to change the recipe to where you need to cook the rice separately!

So because we’re eating mostly freezer meals, I had some extra money to buy staples- like vitamins, frozen veggies, and snack bars. Almost all Meijer brand items were 20% off last week, so I knew I needed to take advantage of some items we were running out of.

This is also my second week of saving $5.00 out of our weekly grocery budget to save for bulk purchases! I plan on buying toilet paper from Sam’s, which I think is around $22.00. But the package lasts us 6 months, so I’d say it’s a pretty good deal!

Here’s what we bought this week:

Hi Everyone, We just tried Aldi Turkey Bacon and everyone liked it. I paid 1.89 for a package and borrowed Beth from Budget Bytes idea and cut the package in half. I freeze the other half for later use and am saving money with this neat trick.

That's awesome, Gina! I've tried Aldi's turkey bacon before too, and it's really good. =)
