It feels good to be back shopping at regular stores again!
Last week I went to Dollar Tree and spent $52 on the three of us for groceries, as an experiment. Wednesday I’ll have the full grocery list and menu, but here’s the post explaining why I chose to eat Dollar Tree food for a week. I’m so glad we have fresh produce again!
We ended up donating the other 24-ish dollars left in our budget to the charity bike ride I did Saturday. It was awesome, by the way! I ended up biking 25 miles and raising $164 to help feed kids in Africa. Biking is so much different than running, but I think I like this so much better. Gonna train to do the 100-mile race next year!
This week was basically a huge stock-up trip. There were so many good things on sale, and it helps that we’re leaving Friday for vacation so I had two less days of dinners to worry about. When ground turkey is only a dollar each, we stock up big time!
Meijer also gave me a ton of coupons to use. Free bread when I spent $10.00 (No problem here), $3.00 off my frozen foods purchase… plus I get personalized coupons in the mail every month so I was able to use some of those as well. Here’s my huge shopping trip for the week:
