My food hoarding side is happy now. Want to see why?
My freezer is full of frozen vegetables, and it was just the highlight of my weekend. I only buy bags of frozen vegetables when they’re $1.00; and since Meijer had their 10 for $10 sale… well, I was up on my tiptoes trying to grab the last bags of broccoli. These veggies are great to have in stock for a quick side item; just toss them into a container and microwave them for a few minutes!
Another favorite: RXBars. These bars are regularly $1.99, which I’d NEVER pay full price for. But they were BOGO free at Meijer this weekend, and so I bought 6 because that’s all I had room for in the budget. However, a coupon printed out for $5.00 off 10, so I’m holding onto it for another good sale!
My parents took us to Costco on Saturday for the first time, and I think I’m in love. I really could have gone crazy in there, but luckily I stopped while I was ahead. It has a lot of the stuff Sam’s Club has, but definitely leans more toward the natural/organic side. My parents bought Allison this cereal among a couple other things… she was sold as soon as she saw the unicorn. And needless to say, she (and I) will be eating this for the next few weeks!
