I believe I’ve had a change of heart about Kroger.

In the past, I rarely shopped there because the prices were outrageous. But recently, I’ve noticed they’ve been having some really good sales and I can’t help but keep coming back every week. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Meijer! But Kroger has my heart right now. Take a look at this:

I’ve been waiting so long for natural peanut butter to go on sale. Kroger’s natural peanut butter is never on sale anymore with their regular counterpart; it’s always still $2.29 when the regular is $.99. But when I saw the organic brand on sale for $1.50, I didn’t have to beg John very hard to buy 10 of them. (The money came from a category besides grocery, so that’s why you won’t see it below) But now I’m happy inside knowing that I finally have a pantry full of peanut butter again!

This week is full of new recipes that I’m excited to try! I feel like I’ve been pretty boring lately, so I wanted to change things up a bit. Here’s what I bought this week and what I’m making:

Entenmann’s Bread Outlet

4 loaves Sara Lee whole wheat bread: $.50 each
4 packages Thomas whole wheat English muffins: $.50 each
1 loaf Brownberry sourdough bread: $.50
1 loaf Brownberry whole wheat bread: $.50

Total: $5.00. I’m always amazed at what I can get here, especially considering those two big loaves retail at almost $4.00 each!

  • Final Cost: $1.29 each

Enchilada sauce: $1.09
2 cans green chiles: $.79 each
Hershey Gold chocolate bar: Free from Free Friday Download
5 bottles Lady Speed Stick deodorant: $1.00 each

Total: $19.86
