I believe I’ve had a change of heart about Kroger.
In the past, I rarely shopped there because the prices were outrageous. But recently, I’ve noticed they’ve been having some really good sales and I can’t help but keep coming back every week. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Meijer! But Kroger has my heart right now. Take a look at this:
I’ve been waiting so long for natural peanut butter to go on sale. Kroger’s natural peanut butter is never on sale anymore with their regular counterpart; it’s always still $2.29 when the regular is $.99. But when I saw the organic brand on sale for $1.50, I didn’t have to beg John very hard to buy 10 of them. (The money came from a category besides grocery, so that’s why you won’t see it below) But now I’m happy inside knowing that I finally have a pantry full of peanut butter again!
This week is full of new recipes that I’m excited to try! I feel like I’ve been pretty boring lately, so I wanted to change things up a bit. Here’s what I bought this week and what I’m making:

This has fully been driving me nuts about the peanut butter at king soopers! They never have the natural peanut butter included anymore in the "select varieties", so they essentially are never on sale anymore... but the maddening thing is that the other varieties literally have way more junk in them of course, more ingredients... So obviously it's MORE expensive for them to make these varieties. So why WHY are the natural, two ingredient ones NOT the ones on sale. Sigh.

Isn't that crazy?? Now that I've had the natural peanut butter, I'm never going back. And I never feel bad about buying 10-12 at a time when they're on sale!

Jamie, I am always so impressed how far you can stretch a dime and feed your family so well on it!
