$75 Weekly Shopping and Menu 12-4-17

Meal plan, grocery list, and coupon deals for 12-4-17. Want to know what a family of 3 eats for $75 a week? Check back every Monday!

I am a baking fiend this week!

I had this brilliant idea to bake Christmas cookies. Like, a ton. So yesterday, I holed myself in the kitchen and prepped 4 batches of chocolate chip cookies, and 4 batches of peanut butter blossoms.

Do you know how many cookies that is?

Too many, that’s how much. I baked half of each batch, and froze the rest to bake right before our vacation to Florida in a few weeks. I still have more to go, but at least I’ve got half of it done!

There were some amazing deals on baking stuff this week, like vanilla extract at Meijer. It was $1.49 per 1-ounce bottle, and Aldi’s is $3.49 for 2 ounces. I took advantage of that, plus butter at Aldi. $1.99 is my stock-up price, and I think I currently have 8 boxes, a couple of which were used up yesterday.

We’re back to a semi-normal schedule, with the exception of a family Christmas every weekend starting this coming up Saturday. Lots of comfort food on the menu, but I’m happy to be buying more fresh produce this week, at least! Here’s what I bought and what we’ll be eating:
