Okay, so I don’t normally visit this many stores for a weekly shopping trip. But I just happened to need a few things here, a few things there… It’s been okay for now since Allison’s been in school and I can hit up 2 stores in a row without her. But Monday is her last day of school, so I may need to adjust. Dragging a 4 year-old to multiple stores can be, well, interesting at times.
We’re making really simple meals this week with almost no leftovers because we’re going on vacation Friday through Monday! We’ll be visiting the Carowinds amusement park in North Carolina and I’m looking forward to a few days of riding rides and stuffing my face. Speaking of stuffing my face, we’re also celebrating my birthday tomorrow at Golden Corral. That place is a guilty pleasure of mine; I can fix up a huge salad, fill my plate with some BBQ pulled pork and other miscellaneous fried goodness… and then end with a large piece of carrot cake and maybe a cookie. Life is all about balance- you eat 5 pounds of food and then run it off later!
So because we’re not eating much at home, I was able to use a lot of grocery money to stock up. Which is partially why I visited so many stores. Here’s what I ended up buying this week:
