Well, we survived our first full week of Kindergarten! Allison did amazing and absolutely loves her new school; and while I’m still getting adjusted to being a working mom, things are still going pretty smoothly. Finding a new routine takes time, right?
One thing I did differently this week was to use non-grocery money to buy some grocery items- namely, Crystal Light packets. When they go on sale for 99 cents, we try to buy as much as possible; but this week I didn’t have any leftover money from Grocery to cover it, so we took it out of our Miscellaneous budget instead. I don’t do this often- the last time was like last year when I bought 8 jars of peanut butter!
Allison’s also packing her lunches, and has requested something different for lunch every day instead of having the same thing 5 days in a row. So I’m trying to figure out an easy way to keep track of how many items from each food group I need to buy every week without blowing the budget. If I come up with something by next week, I’ll let you know!

I received an air fryer as a birthday gift (yay!) and I have seen that some people bake a potato, refrigerate then cut into wedges before putting it in the air fryer. How do you do your potatoes?

Awesome!! What I've been doing is cutting my potatoes into small chunks (Like homefries/hash browns) and just frying them raw that way. I'll spray them with cooking spray and sprinkle with salt and pepper, then fry them at 400 for 15-17 minutes!
