I love coffee, especially frappes. The ones I usually buy are so expensive, though! I’ve also been making protein smoothies in the morning for breakfast, and I wanted a way to combine them into something amazing. And the other day I bought some cookie cereal, and as soon as I saw it I knew what I was going to do. Thus, the mocha cookie protein smoothie was born!
What you need:
1 cup almond milk
1 banana, frozen and sliced
1 cup of coffee, frozen into cubes. I love freezing coffee like this; when it melts, it won’t be all watery like when you use regular ice cubes!
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I use Nature’s Bounty chocolate, but any kind would work) (Affiliate Link)
1/3 cup Cookie Crisp cereal, with a couple extra to put on top
Place all ingredients except a couple of the cookies, and blend until the coffee cubes are well blended and everything is mixed thoroughly. Top with extra cookies and you have a delicious breakfast or afternoon snack!
I made this one afternoon during Allison’s nap as a little pick-me-up, and it so worked! The chocolate protein powder really makes this drink taste great. If you don’t want protein powder, or maybe you don’t want that for your kids, you can use regular chocolate syrup instead and it’ll still turn out delicious!

Not big on coffee, but the LITERAL "frozen coffee" cubes are genius! I will have to pass this along to my Sister-in-Law! :-D

Girl, that was the best tip I ever learned! Keep some in the freezer at all times and you've got a frappe just waiting to happen every day!
