Yesterday the 17th was Homemade Bread Day, and I wanted to celebrate with a new recipe I found! I LOVE making my own bread; it’s much cheaper and only requires a few ingredients, plus it’s just so delicious! I never made bread until I got my bread machine, and now I use it about once a week. This traditional white loaf was found here, but I chose not to let the yeast sit in the water and sugar first, and it turned out just fine. You can bake the bread in your bread machine, or just let it run its dough cycle and put it in a regular loaf pan to rise and bake. I just baked mine straight in the bread machine because of time constraints.
I love how I always have the ability to make bread whenever I want! Easy ingredients.
Place all the ingredients in the bread machine in the order according to the manufacturer. Mine requires wet ingredients first, then dry, with the yeast right on top.
I chose the Large Light option. I haven’t used many of these options; I totally want to make French bread now! If you choose to bake the bread inside the bread machine, it’ll go for about 3 hours. When it’s done, carefully take it out of the bread machine and dump it onto a cooling rack.
The only bad thing about baking your bread in the bread machine is that it’s very oddly shaped. If you like huge sandwiches, this is great! I actually used this to cube for some pumpkin french toast casserole.
The fact that this was made with homemade bread just made it even more delicious!
This bread is super soft! It’s the perfect sandwich bread. If you don’t have a bread machine, go get one from the thrift store for like 6 dollars and start making amazing bread today!

Took your idea and bought a Thrift Store bread machine last night. I paid $9 for mine at the St. Francis thrift store near Kroger. It is a small capacity (2 cup) round loaf type. I'm on my way out to the store to buy some bread making ingredients to try it out.

Awesome! Ever since I bought this bread machine, I haven't looked back. Who wants to pay $3.00 for a pack of dinner rolls when I can make my own and get more out of it for half the cost? =)
