Make sure you check out the other posts in my ABCs of Frugal Living series!
Welcome to week 2 of the ABCs of Frugal Living! Each week, for 26 weeks, I’m bringing you a resource to help you save money on different aspects of your life. This week I’m featuring Budget Bytes, a blog that creates recipes and breaks down the cost of both the recipe and ingredients! When I first decided to use Budget Bytes for this week, I didn’t realize that I’ve used a few of her recipes already, pretty recently in fact! I went through all 11 or so pages of her recipes to make sure I didn’t miss any, and found 4 of her recipes I’ve made and totally recommend, along with a bunch of others I’m going to try really soon.
For the most part, she tries to bring us healthy recipes, but as you can see in my list below, it’s totally okay to indulge sometimes. You can eat healthy on a budget, if you know where to look! Please check out her blog here and give her some love, try a few recipes, share them on Pinterest, etc. Enjoy, and save money at the same time!

Let's see. . . "How to kick the can (of beans)", I think I tried the roasted vegetable burritos (which didn't go over well), cilantro lime rice, taco stuffed shells (meh), Oooooh Enchiladas, Beef and Cabbage stir-fry, One pot beef and mushroom stroganoff (family favorite!), multi-purpose shredded beef, hoisin tacos with sweet and sour slaw, Cheesy shepherd's pie (a fave),and I might have tried the Salsa chicken casserole. Yes, I love Budget bytes!

I love baked potatoes but the only downfall is that they can really rack up some calories if you aren't careful.

YES, definitely. Have you invested in a food scale? I'm getting into the habit of weighing my food, just to see how much I'm really eating. It's quite surprising!
