Today’s recipe is a simple three ingredients, freezes well, and is a great way to use up old bananas! These banana cookies are a favorite of Allison’s, and they’re absolutely healthy; no added sugar! I’ve also been known to eat about 4 of these in one sitting.
Here’s all you need:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
That’s it! Mash the bananas well, then mix in the oats and cinnamon. Drop spoonfuls onto a greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
They look like cookies, taste like cookies, and Allison doesn’t even know she’s eating healthy. All she knows is Mommy is awesome for giving her cookies for a snack… and breakfast.
If you so choose, you can even add chocolate chips, coconut flakes, nuts… it’s pretty customizable. To freeze them, just lay them out on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and when they’re completely frozen, place them in a freezer bag. And they only take a few minutes to thaw out when you’re ready to eat them.
Let me know what you think! Would your kids love you forever if you offered them cookies for breakfast?

Connor is obsessed with anything oatmeal lately so these would be perfect for him. I could even use them for a quick breakfast when we are short on time.
