In case you haven’t noticed, groceries are getting pretty expensive. Your family keeps complaining about being hungry (imagine that!), so unfortunately grocery shopping isn’t going anywhere.
However, you can make the process less painful on your wallet and earn FREE GROCERIES by using one tool every month: Swagbucks.
If you’ve been around awhile, you’ve seen me talk about Swagbucks and the kinds of gift cards you can earn. These gift cards have really helped us in the past when we’ve had a low income, and I still use them to this day.
Today I’m giving you a step-by-step guide on how to earn enough Swagbucks to redeem for a $25 gift card every month! $25 can mean a lot of groceries for many of us, so I hope this can help you each month as you do your shopping!
So here’s the basic breakdown of what you need to earn each month:
One $25 gift card is 2,200 Swagbucks (except the Paypal ones). They’re normally 2,500 Swagbucks, but you get a discount on your first one each month. This really helps!
2,200 divided by 30 days in a month = about 73 Swagbucks per day. This is easily do-able! It can take anywhere between 10-20 minutes a day to get there, depending on how lucky you get. Here’s an easy list of things to do every day to earn those 73 Swagbucks:
Do a search- 3-10 Swagbucks
When you do your normal search engine questions, use the Swagbucks engine instead! With each search you have the chance of earning Swagbucks, usually between 3-10. I typically get only one win per day, but I think you can get two or three; just space it out every few hours.
Check your inbox- 1+ Swagbucks
Your Swagbucks inbox will have different daily activities each day, so make sure you check! The amount of Swagbucks you earn here depends on what activities are available; I’ve seen a lot of videos that earn you 1 Swagbuck each, but can be done multiple times.
Take a survey- 50-300 Swagbucks
Surveys can be really hit-or-miss; some people have no trouble getting accepted for surveys, and others can’t even get into one. I think surveys are the biggest hitters in regards to earning Swagbucks though, so I try every day. You can earn anywhere between 50 and 300 per survey, so keep trying! You could easily hit your daily goal with one survey.
Run the video apps- 60+ Swagbucks
There are 6 different video apps you can install on your phone, and you can earn a total of 60 Swagbucks per day before bonus rounds.
The SBTV app gives you 2 Swagbucks for every 5 videos played, while the other 5 give you 2 Swagbucks for every 15 videos played.
After you’ve reached the max amount of 10 Swagbucks, each app has a chance to give you bonus rounds, where you can keep earning Swagbucks until the app randomly decides you’ve had enough.
These videos usually play by themselves and don’t require any effort to maintain; since the phone has to stay on to play videos, consider using an old smartphone for the apps like I do; that way, you can plug it in, connect it to Wi-Fi, and let the videos run while you still have access to your own phone! Here are the links to each app:
Complete the Daily To-Do List- 1-4 Swagbucks
Swagbucks has a to-do list that gives you extra bonus Swagbucks for completing 6 out of the 8 activities. It’s a small amount, between 1-4, but every little bit helps.
You get a bigger bonus for completing all 8 activities, but that involves making purchases, and I’m too frugal for that!
Hit your first Daily Goal every day
Each day, you have a Swagbucks goal that you can hit to get bonus Swagbucks. In the picture above, 80 is my goal, and 8 is the bonus I’ll get. There are two daily goals, so once I hit 80, I’ll have a slightly higher goal and more bonus Swagbucks. If you hit your first daily goal every day, you get even more bonus Swagbucks.
Here’s how it breaks down:
- 7 days in a row: 25 Swagbucks
- 14 days in a row: 50 Swagbucks
- 21 days in a row: 100 Swagbucks
- Every day for the full month: 300 Swagbucks
All of your bonus Swagbucks will be given to you at the beginning of the next month. If you get good at this, you can earn up to 600 extra Swagbucks every month just by hitting your daily goal! This means you can potentially earn $50 every couple months because of the extra Swagbucks earned. I’ll take that!
Redeem your Swagbucks for a gift card
Once you’ve saved up 2,200 Swagbucks, you’re ready to redeem them for a gift card! Just click on “Redeem SB” on the top right of your screen and choose which gift card you’d like.
Remember that the discount doesn’t apply to PayPal gift cards; I like getting the Sam’s Club gift cards because we buy all our paper goods there- toilet paper, paper towels, baby wipes… and at $17-$18 each, that can add up!
Getting that for free is amazing and frees up my grocery money so I can buy more food. The Sam’s Club and Wal Mart gift cards are interchangeable, too, so you can use one of their gift cards at either store.
What will you do with your gift card? Will you use it to stock up on the essentials at Sam’s Club? Or maybe go to Wal Mart and take advantage of their low prices on food?
Either way, $25 can go a long way and I’d love to see you get free groceries every month! Click here to sign up for your free Swagbucks account and start earning today!
