Are you looking for a cute Christmas favor to give out this year? These Candy Cane Sleds are fun to make and your friends will gush over how awesome they look! You can use them as Secret Santa gifts, stocking stuffers, or small gifts for a holiday get-together. With about an hour of your time (and lots of delicious candy), you can have these prepped and ready to go!
Here’s what you need to make 8 Candy Cane Sleds:
- 16 candy canes (About 2 boxes, with some to spare)
- 8 standard-size Kit Kat bars
- 80 Hersheys Miniatures (You’ll need at least 2 standard sized bags, or just one of these)
- Scotch tape
- Double-sided tape
- 8 gift tags
- Ribbon (To tie around each sled)
First, take a regular-sized Kit Kat bar and tape two candy canes to the bottom. If you wanted, you could use a glue gun like other tutorials I’ve read. However, I think that might get pretty messy! I used regular tape for the candy canes, and double-sided tape for the chocolates.
Then place 10 Hershey’s miniatures on top of the Kit Kat bar in a pyramid shape. 4 on the bottom, then 3, 2, and lastly 1. I placed a line of double-sided tape under each row to make sure they all stuck.
Here’s what the pyramid looks like when it’s done. The next part is up to you! You can use miniature gift bows to put on top, or these cute gift tags I found at Hobby Lobby.
I think this looks much better! The other side has To and From lines, if you want to personalize them.
These were so much fun to make! It took me an hour to make 14 of them and they were a huge hit with my friends. Make these Candy Cane Sleds part of your next delicious holiday tradition. Have you made these before? Share in the comments below if you’ve made any changes to them!
