Today I’m showing you a great way to re-purpose your Starbucks Frappuccino bottles! Those drinks are so delicious, and the bottles are so pretty I hate just throwing them out. I found that they make excellent Christmas gifts! You can fill them with anything; hot chocolate mix, candy… I opted for Hershey Kisses and Reeses Cups to keep things simple. Here’s what you need:
- Starbucks Frappuccino drinks (I used 10), emptied. I know it’s hard work, but drink them all!
- Gift ribbon
- 10 candy canes
- 4 regular-sized bags of candy. I found 4 bags to be perfect for filling all ten.
Start by peeling off the stickers and washing them in warm soapy water. The stickers left a residue on my bottles, so I used a Magic Eraser to remove it, as well as the printed expiration date. Those Magic Erasers are serious stuff! After the bottles are fully clean, let them dry and then let your creativity flow.
Like I said above, I filled mine with candy. For 10 bottles, I had to buy 4 bags total and they fit quite nicely. I then tied a ribbon around each one and stuck a candy cane through the ribbon for an extra touch. I chose not to paint the lids, although you certainly could; I thought they looked kind of cute with the Starbucks logo still on them.
I used them as little gifts for a women’s group I go to; they’re great frugal ideas for neighbors and family! It also doesn’t hurt that they’re a delicious idea, too. Let me know what you plan to put in yours; I need ideas for next year!
