Candy Corn Pretzel Treats

What a cute Fall treat idea! Candy Corn Pretzel Treats are a big hit at any party or get-together! www.nogettingoffthistrain.com

I have a simple treat for you all today that can use up some of your leftover Halloween candy! I went to Target earlier this week to check out the discounted candy, and that would be a great time to make a ton of these. At 30% off, the candy corn was about $1.50 a bag, and the Hershey Kisses were a little over $2.00. Other places should start having the candy 50% off soon, too!

I made these as a favor to bring for the table I lead at a women’s group once a month. They’re super easy to make; in fact, I had Allison help me unwrap all the Kisses to put on the pretzels, so it was a nice way to get in some bonding time and a little quiet time, too. Here’s what you need:

  • Square pretzels
  • Hershey Kisses
  • Candy corn

There’s no set amount for the ingredients; I bought one bag of each and I still had over half a bag of pretzels and candy corn once we got them all done. If you want to make a lot, definitely buy 2 bags of Kisses!

Place the pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then place a Kiss on top of each pretzel. Bake at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes, just until the Kisses get a little shiny, then remove them from the oven and immediately gently press a candy corn piece into each Kiss. If you can, very carefully remove the pretzels from the baking sheet and let them cool. I found that it took a few hours because I left mine on the still-warm sheet, and that probably wasn’t a good idea.

And the leaf serving dish? Dollar Tree. Don’t blow off the dollar store, friends; it’s a great place to find really cute stuff!

You can customize these treats for any holiday. Just replace the candy corn with red and green M&Ms for a fun Christmas treat! They’re a big hit for any party. What other things have you topped yours with?

This is one of my favorite ways to use candy that I don't want sitting around. Find a way to use it in a baked dish and BAM! a tasty treat to share!

Pretty much, yes! Bake all the things and make sure there's none left for you to take home.
