This is one of my favorite new recipes. I had made the last ham that was in our freezer, and was coming up with meals to use it all up. Ham and cheese calzones are super easy to make, and since I make my own pizza dough, they’re very cost-effective! You can also used pre-made pizza dough, although I don’t know how big they’ll be compared to these. Here’s what you need:
- 3 cups diced ham
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Pizza dough (Homemade or canned)
Separate the dough into 6 even pieces and roll flat, if needed. To each piece, add 1/2 cup of ham and 1/4 cup of cheese on just one side, then fold the empty side over top, pinching the edges together. Place them on a greased baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes. That’s it!
I can’t stop talking about these! They’re delicious, addicting, and you can add as much or as little toppings as you want. If you come over for dinner, I’ll probably make these for you. If you have a baby, I’ll bring some over, so I have an excuse to make them again for myself. This may or may not have happened multiple times recently. But seriously, make them yourself and see how great they are!
