Weight loss update 9/14/15: www.nogettingoffthistrain.com

Is anyone else still working on losing more weight? =) Like I said in my final update for the August weight loss challenge, I’m going to give updates every Monday on my status and try to give a few tips I’ve learned along the way! I stepped on the scale on Friday the 11th and I had lost 1.6 pounds in the last week! So awesome!!!

Pounds lost this week: 1.6
Pounds lost since 5/10/15: 10.4

I’m so excited to have lost 10 pounds in 4 months! It may not be a good amount of weight lost in that timespan, but I wasn’t doing a lot in the first couple months. In the past 2 months or so, though, I’ve slowly gotten more motivated to eat better and get more into my workouts!

Took Allison to the aquarium!

Monday was a little rough food-wise. John had the holiday off, so we took Allison to the aquarium! We had Chick-Fil-A for lunch, and my wrap and fruit cup wasn’t so bad. Then my parents invited us to eat at our local Chinese buffet for dinner, and let me just say I have zero willpower when it comes to buffets. Like, I KNOW I should pace myself, but when I’m at a place like that, I convince myself that well, I’m here, so I might as well enjoy it! So I definitely did, haha. I didn’t bother calculating my calories for dinner.

The rest of the week went well, and Saturday I walked in a 5K! I finished in about 53 minutes, and holy cow, I felt GREAT afterward! I’ve been wanting to start running and participate in more 5Ks, and I think this just motivated me to start a Couch to 5K program. I’ll download the app this week and try to figure out a schedule, and I’ll let you know how that goes!

I was just thinking earlier this week that I don’t have a lot of cravings for fast food anymore. I’d still love to eat it every day of course, haha, but I’m now more in-tune with how much I should be eating, and even just thinking of the nutrition info makes me say “Nope!”. It took me awhile to get to that point, though. It was REALLY hard to track everything at first, and I did stop for awhile because I actually stopped caring. But once I saw the results of my work, I knew I had to keep going! I’m now only 9.6 pounds away from my goal weight, and at this rate, I’ll get there before the new year, which was my goal to begin with!
