It’s been a few weeks since I’ve made an update! For two weeks straight I had lost zero weight, and then the week after that I gained .2 pounds. I changed a couple things in my eating habits and I’m happy to say I lost .4 pounds last week, yay!

Weight loss since May 2015: 16.4 pounds
So it looks like I’ve hit somewhat of a barrier. These last 4 pounds are much harder to lose than I thought; perhaps it just has to do with the holidays and all the delicious food around me. I’m trying to balance being good with enjoying the holiday food, and the scale is tipping more towards enjoying food. And that’s okay with me! I haven’t fully abandoned my plan, but I’m allowing myself to eat a cookie here and there.
I think once the holidays are over I’m going to focus more on incorporating fruits and vegetables into my diet, and try to eat a bit cleaner. I’m slowly learning to eat the produce that’s in season ($5.00 a pound for strawberries right now? NOPE!) without getting burned out. My snacks during the day are consisting of packaged granola/snack bars, and I’m hoping to replace that with whole foods to reduce my sugar intake. I did buy baby carrots and hummus this weekend, so I’ll be snacking on that this week!
