I am SO excited right now. In case you missed it, John started his new job last week! I’m so happy to be back to a regular schedule. Now that we have an income again, we’ll be raising our grocery budget in the next week or two. Next Monday I will definitely have an update on that! It’ll be nice to be able to start stocking my pantry and freezer again.
Somehow I was over budget last week, so I had a couple dollars less to work with. It all worked out because the things I wanted to buy at Kroger were sold out, and then I forgot to buy blueberries to make muffins for a friend (oops), so we’re actually under budget this week. Having a date night also helps! Here’s what I bought this week.
Cream cheese: $1.29
Diced tomatoes: $.55
Sour cream: $.99
Sweet potatoes: $1.69
Almond milk: $2.29
Bouillon cubes: $1.69
Kidney beans: $.59
Deli ham: $2.49
2 bags frozen vegetables: $1.00 each
Snack bags: Free after a print-out coupon I got from Meijer last week
String cheese: $8.48
Total: FREE thanks to a gift card from Swagbucks
Weekly Total: $23.15
Lunch is always leftovers. Items marked with an asterisk (*) were purchased in previous weeks.
