So guys, I had an interesting predicament this week while shopping. The past few times I’ve gone to Sam’s Club, I’ve had two paper gift cards from Swagbucks. One had the full $25.00, and the other had a remaining balance from a previous purchase. When I went this week and presented both gift cards, the full one scanned and went through, but the other one apparently had nothing on it, so I had to pay $13.47 out of pocket, which I was NOT expecting. I freaked out because I knew that meant I had about $16.00 left in the grocery budget, so when I got home I looked through my gift card ledger on Swagbucks’ website and found the gift card that still had a balance.
What probably happened was that the last time I did something like this, I kept the empty gift card and threw away the one with a balance. Oops. So instead of panicking more, I decided to use the rest of that gift card at Wal Mart, to my disappointment; I never do my grocery shopping at Wal Mart because Aldi’s cheaper, but I had to do what I had to do. It all worked out in the end though, and I was under budget!
