Weekly Shopping and Menu 4-18-16

Sharing is caring!

We're eating for only $30 a week for a (hopefully) short period of time! Want to see how? Check back every Monday for a new shopping list and menu! Week of: 4-18-16. www.nogettingoffthistrain.com

I’m finally pulling out the turkey I had bought around Christmas-time to use this week! I love making a huge turkey or ham and using the leftovers for all my dinners. It saves a ton of money, although thankfully it only lasts a week because we tend to get tired of it!

I haven’t done a lot of stocking up/filling my pantry these past few weeks, although I saw that Meijer’s frozen vegetables are on sale for $.89 next week so I may be filling my freezer! I like having fresh broccoli or green beans, but sometimes frozen is cheaper and keeps longer.  You may also notice that we no longer have another expense… Pull-ups! Allison’s decided, all on her own, that she’s a big girl and has been waking up dry very consistently, so we’ve stopped buying pull-ups. That saves us about $5.00 every 2 weeks, which really helps! Plus it makes me sad that she’s growing up so fast. Let’s see what I got this week!

Disclaimer: We’ve cut our grocery budget to $30 a week due to John no longer having a job. Our pantry and freezer are fully stocked so the $30 will not always include all breakfasts or dinners. Keep that in mind, as we are not completely eating for just $30 a week yet.
