Well, I had an interesting shopping week! My parents gave us a bunch of large ham slices that I can use for breakfast and one dinner next week, and I had a lot of stuff in the pantry/freezer to use up, so I’m left with about $19.00 left over for the week! That’s crazy! This is a very good thing though, because somebody got a box of Pull Ups for her birthday and decided she doesn’t want to wear her cloth diapers anymore. I’m currently on the lookout for cheap Pull Ups! This should be interesting, because we’ve never had to include diapers in our grocery budget before. Anyway, let’s see what we got this week!
2 half gallons milk: $1.00 each
2 Old Spice deodorant: $2.49 each
- Used 2 $.75/1 printable coupons
- Used $1.00/2 Kroger digital e-coupon (I’m not supposed to be able to use a printable and digital coupon, but somehow this worked!)
- Final Cost: $1.24 each. My buy price for these is $1.75 or less, so this was awesome!
Animal crackers: $1.39. I’m using these to bribe Allison to use the potty; I know bribing is bad, but when it comes to potty training, I believe you have to do whatever it takes!
Pumpkin candy: $3.00
Wheat flour: $2.79
Gallon of skim milk: $2.09
Gallon of whole milk: $2.49. Why are the prices of milk different???
All purpose flour: $1.36
Can of pumpkin: $.89
Ground turkey: $1.89
Crescent rolls: $.99
Brown sugar: $1.09
White chocolate chips: $1.49
2 cans corn: $.49 each
Strawberry jelly: $1.79
Weekly Total: $47.68. $1.92 of that was from something purchased with grocery money at Hobby Lobby.
