$75 Weekly Shopping and Menu 7-31-17

Sharing is caring!

Meal plan, grocery list, and coupon deals for 7-31-17. Want to know what a family of 3 eats for $75 a week? Check back every Monday!

Every time I miss one of these grocery posts due to being on vacation, I realize how much I love doing them! It’s become such a habit now to lay out my groceries and take a picture before putting everything away. I also hope it helps give you inspiration on new meal ideas and how to eat more cheaply; I know I still like coming back to old posts sometimes just to see what I bought way back then.

Something new I’m trying this week is Chia seeds! They supposedly absorb liquid really well and expand, which is good for bulking up meals; not to mention they’re apparently good for you. I’m gonna put some in smoothies this week and maybe cook them in my oatmeal, and I’ll come back later with a full report! Anybody here use Chia seeds frequently?

Something I bought that’s not shown below was a zucchini from the farmer’s market, as long as my forearm. Not even kidding, I only paid a dollar for this sucker and it’s gonna last me awhile. I’m totally going back this Saturday to buy more! Here’s what I bought for less than $75 this week:

I am absolutely loving your blog! We own our own business and have been struggling lately, which has lead me to researching how I can help with the finances as a stay at home mom. All of your posts are so helpful and realistic! I'm working to reduce our grocery budget more every month and I will definitely be using a lot of your meal ideas and other tips. Thank you for being so candid and providing such a great resource for those of us who are still learning to be more frugal!
