$75 Weekly Shopping and Menu 7-10-17

Sharing is caring!

Shopping trips are back! Last week, we got home around 6:00 Sunday night and I rushed to Aldi and Meijer to get what we needed. I didn’t have enough time to throw together a post, but we’re back to normal this week!

I was super excited to see peanut butter on sale at Kroger this week. We were down to our last jar, and I start to panic when we only have two in the house. I wasn’t able to buy 12 like I usually do, but 6 will hold us over for awhile… probably. I’ve also been buying a lot of chocolate chips, but at 99 cents a bag, can you blame me? I usually put them in pancakes, or in hidden-veggie breads for Allison to hide the fact that she’s actually eating healthy. Buying tons of little bags on sale, especially of the dark chocolate chips, is still cheaper than buying the industrial-sized bag at Sam’s Club. So I’ll continue this way until I can’t get them at such a low price anymore!

What I did yesterday to prep for the week:

  • Chopped up two of the romaine hearts for salads
  • Chopped the bell peppers
  • Cut up the tomatoes

I was going to pre-cook the pancakes and freeze them, but I ended up not having time. Prepping ahead of time really helps, though! Here’s everything I bought this week:
