This week was AMAZING for produce at Aldi! Butternut squash and cabbage for $.69, apples for $1.49… to be honest, I’ve never used cabbage before but I really wanted to make coleslaw, so we’ll see how it turns out! I stocked up on a lot of Crystal Light, which John loves me for doing, and I bought some Halloween candy to donate to church. I’ll probably do this once a week until the end of the month, when the event is. The other candy I bought at Meijer is for an awesome snack I’m going to share next week, with a FREE printable to go with it. =) Make sure you check back next week to find it. Here’s what I got for $75 this week:

Ooh. I love butternut squash. This is brilliant to put it in chili and $.69 cents TOTAL, not a pound?! That's a nuts deal. Were the zuchinni tots a hit?

Girl, I live for Aldi and their cheap prices! I weighed the squash and it's just over 2 pounds, it's amazing. Funny story; I had my insanely picky sister over for dinner the night I made the zucchini tots, and she loved them. Allison took one bite, said "Mmm!", and never touched them again. So, they were too much effort to try again. :P
