There were lots of good sales this week! I hit up Meijer for more than I usually do because they had an awesome 2-day sale. They originally had 18-count eggs for $.99, but when I got there, the eggs were completely cleared out. Then I saw the dozen eggs for $.49, and ended up getting the same amount of eggs for less money, so it worked out!
One of the things I dislike is paying full price for certain items. Like the frozen vegetables. Their original price is $1.25, and that’s what I had to pay this weekend; they usually go on sale for $1.00, which they actually are next week, and I really like only paying around $.80 or so per bag, but I used up my stash and wanted some kind of vegetable for dinner. So the next time I see frozen veggies on sale, I’m loading up my cart!
I’m purchasing two things out of my grocery budget for the next couple weeks: Halloween candy to donate to church, and food/decorations for Allison’s birthday party. Next year we’ll actually have a space in the budget for her party, but for now I’m just doing a little bit each week. Neither categories have pictures this week, but the prices are reflected in the total below. Here’s what else I got this week:
