Wow, I had such a busy weekend. From running a 5k to volunteering at church pretty much all weekend, I’m pretty tired! It also gave me limited time for grocery shopping, so I only visited two stores this week. I usually like doing all my shopping on Saturday mornings, because John’s with us and it makes things so much easier. On busy weekends like this, though, we usually go to Aldi on Friday nights, and then I’ll visit Meijer/Kroger early Saturday morning. Like, 6:00 AM early. I’m totally thankful for 24-hour stores!
I didn’t have to buy a whole lot for dinners this week. We ended up going to Kings Island last Sunday and had dinner there, and we also had a lot of leftovers so we had a second leftover night. This meant we had two extra dinners to carry over into this week, which is always helpful! I love when that happens. Here’s what I bought this week.
Cheddar popcorn: $1.49
Tater tots: $1.65
Shredded Parmesan cheese: $1.99
2 packages raisins: $.99 each
Can of chili: $.99
2 rolls ground sausage: $1.99 each
Green peppers: $1.49
2 bottles Garlic Parmesan wing sauce: $1.79 each. They’re seasonal, so I try to stock up when I can, it’s so delicious!
Romaine lettuce: $1.99
Babybel cheese: $2.79
Dryer sheets: $1.89
2 dozen eggs: $.69 each
Oatmeal: $2.69 (For MOPS)
Coffee creamer: $2.79 (For MOPS)
Enchilada sauce: $1.19
2 packages strawberries: $1.67 each
Weekly Total: $65.76. Included in the total were random items purchased at Big Lots and Dollar Tree.
Lunch is always leftovers. Items marked with an asterisk (*) were purchased in previous weeks.
