Oh my goodness, it has been a week! Allison had almost finished getting over a cold (and her first ear infection), and then she got hit with a second cold, effectively giving it to me. Poor Allison hasn’t left the house much in the past week, and for as active as we usually are, it’s been hard. I’ve been trying to tell her that eating the rainbow of colors- AKA vegetables- will give her the vitamins to help her feel better, but you can imagine how that’s been going.

So, my pantry and freezer are pretty well stocked now! Thanks to Meijer and the amazing sales, I’m now the proud owner of the frozen vegetable and cereal aisle. When I see that I can get frozen vegetables for rock-bottom price after special coupons, I can’t pass that up! I also found random odds-and-ends to add to the freezer, like the rolls of turkey sausage and the chicken sausage links at Aldi. They were super cheap, and I’m leaning more towards chicken and turkey now because they’re a bit healthier, so I’ll find some good breakfast ideas for them. Here are all the great deals I found this week:

Do you eat a lot of strawberries or do you use them in recipes, even smoothies maybe? If I bought that many they would go bad before we could use them all.

Right now, Allison's addicted to strawberries, so I give her as much as she wants during the day. Then I tend to eat them with yogurt at night as a snack. =) They rarely last the week! Once they're down to $1.00 a box, I'll buy a ton and freeze them for recipes and smoothies!
