We all have mom confessions. Those little secrets that we may not be proud of doing to or around our kids, but help to keep our sanity and make for good stories later. I’ve compiled a list of my own mom confessions and hope to make this a semi-regular series (Because let’s face it, as moms we’re bound to keep doing these strange things).
-I introduced Allison to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic when she was really young. I stuck her in her little bouncy chair when she would consistently wake up at 5:00 AM, and she’d watch for about 10 minutes while I took a desperately needed shower. Now she’s hooked on the show and watches the first Equestria Girls movie over… and over… and over. What have I done?
-Even though I wake up early to get my morning stuff done, Allison wakes up earlier and earlier every morning. It used to be after 7:00 consistently, and it keeps creeping up more and more until suddenly it’s about 6:15-6:30 every morning. I tend to ignore her and keep her in there for up to a half hour while she happily talks to herself. How do you think I’m getting this post written? 😉
-I’m strongly considering giving her pizza every day for lunch and dinner because it’s one of the things she’ll always finish off. Healthy, balanced meal? Not in a toddler’s vocabulary.
-I sometimes stick her in the wagon and walk around the block just to get some peace and quiet. I may or may not do this more than once a day.
-Sometimes I REALLY look forward to naptime…. sometimes even as early as when Allison wakes up in the mornings.
