How I Keep Myself Organized

Sharing is caring!

First off, let me say that I’m really NOT very organized at all! I keep toying around with different methods; calendars, to-do lists, etc… I think I’ve got my calendar part down, but to-do lists are still a struggle! Today I want to share the two ways I keep myself organized as far as planning my days, as well as a few attempted ways I keep a to-do list!

Google Calendar has saved my life! I’ve used it for a number of years for all sorts of things: the most important one up until Allison was born was my massage appointments. Our appointment scheduler had an option to automatically sync my appointments to Google Calendar, and it was wonderful! Now I use it for my personal life events, like MOPS, moms night out, and even my workout schedule (Which needs to be tweaked, by the way). My calendar is synced to John’s, so we can both look at our calendar and see the other’s events. Seriously, if you’ve never used Google Calendar, start now!

As far as blog planning, I’ve been using this really cute Bloom planner! (Affiliate link) It’s small but works well; it’s both a weekly and monthly calendar, and the weekly portion is the perfect size for my Post-its! Whenever I think of a new post, I write it down on a Post-it and stick it on the day I want. It’s color-coordinated, but don’t ask what the colors mean because I keep changing it, haha! I move things around a lot, so the Post-its are handy for when I decide to move a post to a different day.

As you can see on this page, I have a small to-do list next to the Post-its. I’ve tried so many methods of planning my days: using to-do list apps, writing it down in a notebook, and using an online to-do list like HabitRPG. I just can’t find the one thing that works for me! For now, I’ll try writing it down in here, because I look in my planner every day anyway. Let’s hope this works!

That’s pretty much how I keep my life (fairly) organized! How about you? Do you have a sure-fire way of keeping yourself organized? Help me out!
