Allison’s 2nd Birthday Party

Sharing is caring!

Allison's 2nd birthday party

Eek, I still can’t believe Allison is 2! It’s such a great age. She can run around, can actually talk to me… she’s turning into a little person! We had her birthday party on Saturday, and since she’s in love with Minnie Mouse, I decided to make it Minnie themed.

Party Chex mix... so addicting!

I made this Autumn Chex mix for her first birthday party, and I loved it so much I made it again! Here’s what I used:

Party Chex mix ingredients

  • 4 cups of Chex
  • 4 cups of pretzels
  • 1 box chocolate Teddy Grahams
  • 2 small boxes Reese’s Pieces
  • 6 ounces Cracker Jacks
  • 1 bag Autumn candy mix

It makes a ton! We had a lot left over and I’m still snacking on it.

Mickey Mouse cookie cutters. I'll find more uses for these!

The night before the party I used this adorable Mickey Mouse cookie cutter I found on Amazon (Affiliate link) and used it to cut salami and cheese into little cute pieces. I bought 2 pounds each, and that was probably way too much.

Soooo much salami.

We're still eating this a week after the party.

Look at all those salami scraps! I had the same amount of cheese left, too. We’re seriously still eating it, using it in as many recipes as I can think of.

Party platter. I think it turned out great!

This turned out to be plenty of food for all the family that came!

She was like "Mom, stop taking pictures already, I want to see my stuff!"

And here’s the birthday girl! This was right after she woke up from her nap, before the party started. She got really excited seeing the Minnie and Daisy decorations on the walls, in case you couldn’t tell. Once everyone arrived, it turned into a pretty lively party! Seven kids and thirteen adults in our living room, it was awesome. Allison was very well loved; we have tons of clothes to last the winter, and she got tons of Little People toys, her absolute favorite (and mine, too!).

Amazing cake from Sam's Club!

I LOVE this cake! We ordered it from Sam’s club and it turned out beautiful. It was a marble cake with whipped frosting; I can’t even eat any other frosting now that I’ve had whipped, it’s just that good.

Enjoying her cake.

As you can tell, she thoroughly enjoyed herself!

Little People Disneyland Castle. She LOVES her Little People.

Happy birthday, sweet Allison! Having her turn 2 is one of the biggest milestones in our lives so far. I love watching her learn and work on the more difficult skills like using a fork and putting on (and removing!) her outfits. I can’t wait to see what this next year brings for us!
