It’s time for another edition of Mom Confessions! Here’s the previous one in case you missed it. We all have those moments that perhaps we’re not proud of but want to share with the world in the hopes that we’re not alone. Can you relate to any of these?
-Allison’s 2 and still in a crib because I like keeping her in “baby jail” after she wakes up.
-I’m subtly teaching her old-school songs like Queen’s “Bicycle Race” and get excited when she starts repeating it back to me.
-When I don’t want Allison to “help” me eat my snack, I’ll wait until we get in the car and eat it while driving. Rear facing is awesome.
-I’d be okay with feeding Allison peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day for lunch because it’s one of the only things she’ll eat all of.
-I refuse to eat her leftover food. Like if I know she’s touched it or put it in her mouth, I just can’t do it. To be fair, I can’t eat anyone else’s leftover food, either.
-I’ll do anything to wear her out. Including rolling a ball around and letting her chase it like a game of fetch.
-I’ll let her sit in a wet pull-up for a few hours after her nap because she doesn’t want to change out of it. (Is this normal?)
-John and I are about to put her in AWANA at church on Wednesday nights… mostly to get her involved, but secretly because we want an hour and a half of free alone time!
I suppose all this could be worse, but just give it time. I’m sure I’ll come up with more horrible things in the future. =) Is there anything you’d confess to recently?
