It’s been a busy week! Off and on good weather, busy toddler, and just trying to keep things in order, both on my blog and in real life. We were actually able to go to the park this week with good weather!
On another note, I found out that the Holter monitor I wore last week showed that my heart’s completely normal, which is great news! It’s nice to know that there’s nothing wrong. So let’s see how I did on my goals last week!
Drink 48 ounces of water every day: DONE! I’m so excited I actually did it! It’s strange how hard it is to remember to drink water.
Get out and walk 3 times: 2/3. Most of this was due to weather.
Create a posting schedule for my blog: DONE! I think I have things under control now! I’ve read how important it is to plan ahead, sometimes even months ahead, and I’ve got enough ideas to last awhile!
Be more intentional with my time with Allison: We’ve been working on repeating the alphabet using stacking blocks with letters on them. She can do a few, and a lot of them sound the same, but she’s starting to realize that those funny symbols mean something!
Track my food intake better: Yeah, this didn’t work out. However, I’m trying a new approach! If you saw my weekly shopping trip for this week, you might have noticed I bought a crapton of vegetables. Thanks to Aldi, I can afford to buy lots of produce and make healthy meals! Instead of tracking my calories and not really trying to exercise, I’m going to try and eat healthier meals/not stuff myself at each meal, and also try my hand at PiYo thanks to my sister-in-law! I’ve been doing a few tutorials on Youtube and it looks like fun and a great way to get myself fit. Not only will this possibly help me lose weight, it should keep my heart healthy and stop palpitating as much! I’m excited to start out with 20-30 minute workouts in the early morning before Allison wakes up. I need all the encouragement I can get! I’ve never been able to effectively keep up with an exercise routine.
Goals for this week:
Drink 64 ounces of water every day: I was able to handle 48, let’s make it 64! Especially since I’ll be starting an exercise routine.
Start up PiYo: My goal is to do it 4 times this week! I wake up at 5:00 a.m. every morning to get some morning time before Allison wakes up, so the idea is to do early workouts so I have no excuse not to do them!
Touch up my blog: There are a few design things I want to work on; I have no banner yet, and that’s been on the top of my list. I’m also working on a mailing list that won’t bother you constantly with my updates!
That’s it for this week. I’m starting off slow to get myself used to everything, and because I’ve got a fairly busy week already. I need to plan and pack for Saturday; we’re going out of state for a memorial service Sunday, and a 4-hour drive with a toddler should be interesting!
What are YOUR goals for this week? Let me encourage you!
