It’s Almost a New Month… Goals for This Week 4/27

I can’t believe that Friday is May 1st! This year is going by so fast, and May 3rd marks my second full month of blogging. It’s been amazing the amount of people I’ve met and helped in the past 2 months, and I certainly hope to continue this!

Allison… is a toddler. She loves her breakfast and snacks, but never really wants lunch or dinner except if it’s pizza, bread, or a quesadilla. Finally, in an attempt to get her to eat and eat healthy, I’m trying what I’ve seen on Pinterest: a plate filled with a variety of good and healthy finger foods for her to enjoy. This week is a half banana, a couple strawberries, crackers, and cubed cheese. I hard boiled some eggs in the oven to give to her, but I must not have cooked them long enough because the yolk looked really weird when I cracked the egg. I’ll have to either try that again, or just boil them the old fashioned way!

So far, Allison’s enjoying her lunch options, although for some reason she doesn’t like strawberries. What a weird child.

Since Friday is the start of a new month, I thought I’d create a theme for May; and that theme is Birthdays! John and I share May as our birth month so what a perfect opportunity to make a bunch of birthday posts. Look forward to a new post each Friday!

So let’s take a look at last week’s goals!

Reach 200 Facebook likes: When I posted last week, I had 153 likes. Today, I have 187! That’s incredible! For me to get 34 likes in one week is so amazing to me. Thank you everyone for all your support in this!

Reach 500 page views in one day: The highest I reached was 381 last Thursday, and that was because I was featured on Living Well, Spending Less!

Practice patience: This worked out a little better than I thought! I did have some iffy moments this week, but all in all I did pretty good.

Stop snacking: Nope, couldn’t do it. I tried, but the power of food overtook me and I gave in! I did have some fairly healthy dinners last week though, so it sort of balances out!

Goals for this week

Clear out a space in our office: I want a space to start using my sewing machine. I’ve never used one before, ever, but I’ve got some great ideas for secret projects that I hope to share in the next couple months!

Eat breakfast later in the morning: Since I couldn’t seem to stop snacking, I’ll try eating a little later! I usually eat sometime before 6:30, before Allison wakes up, but I’m going to push it back until 7:00. Hopefully eating later will keep me from getting hungry so soon!

I love to help people with their goals! New like from me. I'm really trying to focus on 'eating on point' this week. I have a plan that I follow from my trainers but life gets in the way. Basically limit alcohol, no grains, no sugar besides liquid stevia drops, and no dairy except plain organic yogurt. Good luck to you on yours!

Good luck with your goals, you seem to be doing mighty fine! I like the idea of putting a bunch of different options in front of your toddler to get them to eat well. It's definitely a struggle for us, but our 3 year old's palate is finally starting to develop. She still has her favorite's, of course, but she knows that she's got to have and eat a veggie with every meal and that fruits are the go-to snack above everything else.

That's really cool! Tonight was a success; she had a cheese quesadilla but I added quinoa and lentils inside them and she didn't seem to notice. =)
