Goals for This Week 6/29

Goals

Let me give you all a friendly reminder to PLEASE be careful while you drive. There’s no need to rush and risk hurting yourself and others. Tuesday evening I was driving home on the highway, when a car came rushing up from behind me, swerved into the next lane and slammed on his brakes because the car in front of him wasn’t going fast enough. He then cut in front of me, then that same car, then in front of a semi. He was going so fast that he was literally burning rubber; I could smell it and see the smoke. My first reaction was to cuss him out; but for some reason, the words that came out of my mouth were, “Dude, I hope you live”.

Not even 20 seconds later, off in the distance and at the bottom of the hill, I saw TONS of smoke, and a car spinning out and off the highway, and another huge object in the middle of the road. Everyone stopped and most pulled over, including me. I slowly took off again and realized that huge object on the highway was an upside-down car, with legs sticking out of the drivers side window. I’m pretty sure I saw him get up and walk away as I looked in my rear-view mirror, but for a brief moment I was certain I saw a dead person. I still can’t find out online how those people are doing, but I so hope they’re all okay. Everyone, there is nothing more important than your own life. Please be careful!

Besides that horrifying moment, the rest of this week was pretty uneventful! We got a membership to a local children’s museum which allows us free access anytime, so I took Allison twice this week. She had fun playing in the water tables, going down slides, shopping at a grocery store, and climbing into trucks!

She definitely looks like a natural driver!

So, how did I do on my goals this week?

Finish packing and planning our trip: I think I’ve got the list all done! Today will be spent doing all the laundry and packing up everything. I also made up the grocery list, so when we get there we’ll have to head to the store to get everything for the week. We’ll be leaving early, like 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning, so here’s hoping Allison stays asleep for a few extra hours in the car!

Try out a new cleaning schedule: If you missed it last week, I found a cleaning schedule from Lamberts Lately to help me keep everything in order. I worked on a little bit of it this week, but with all the vacation planning I couldn’t get to it all. I’ll work on it again when we get back!

Goals for this week

Relax! I’m going to try not to worry about anything while I’m gone! I’ve got just about all my blog posts for the week done, so all I have to do is publish! Should be a great week!

I'll never understand why people drive like that. I hope everyone was okay! Goals for this week- Enjoy family time while my husband is home all week, on vacation. Keep up on blog posts and scheduling. Get more Twitter and Facebook followers. Move my littliest, 5 months, to his crib and bedroom. Scary.

Good luck on your goals!

I know what you mean about the rushing while driving, since moving to Colorado, driving gives me the worst anxiety! Drivers here are the worst! I am also preparing for a road trip and could work on organizing my cleaning days! It is nice to have small goals during the week!
