I feel so free today! Yesterday was the last day of my slow cooker challenge. I attempted to use my slow cooker once a day for a whole year, and I made it 4 and a half months. It just got too expensive and we kept wasting food, so it was time to put that to a stop! Now I’m free to make whatever I want, and if we have to do another leftover night because we have too many leftovers, I’m now able to do that!
Last week was not too busy, but this week is almost filled to the brim with events. Birthday dinner Tuesday night, John’s parents are coming over Wednesday night, birthday dinner Friday night… and a few other random things inbetween. All good stuff, though!
I did awesome at maintaining my workouts last week! I started a 60-day PiYo schedule and I feel amazing. I also started using MyFitnessPal to track my food intake. Does anyone else use this? I used to use Noom but got frustrated because I couldn’t save recipes. MyFitnessPal lets me enter the URL of my recipe and it’ll automatically bring up the ingredient list and calculate all the calories! That saves me SO much time and effort and keeps me on track.
I realized I have a horrible problem. I’m in love with Allison’s Little People toys. Like, she has SO many already, and she plays with every single one, but there are so many more she could have! Disney themed Little People, more playsets… I almost went crazy at Wal Mart the other day. Maybe I’m a hoarder? An enthusiastic collector? Who knows, but Allison loves them and plays with them like they’re her only toys.
So how did I do on my goals last week?
Practice sewing: Ugh, I still couldn’t get to this! I just don’t have a lot of time; I’ll get to it eventually!
Keep up with my workout routines: Done! I’m following the plan just as the calendar says.
Send John a text every day: I think I did this? I may have missed a day, but I’ll continue that this week; I love brightening his day!
Read a chapter a day: I didn’t get to it every day, but a couple nights this week I did read “How to Blog for Profit Without Selling Your Soul”.
Goals for this week:
Get caught up on housework: Something I think we all neglect from time to time! You know it’s bad when your child’s bare feet begin to turn grey from dirt.
Organize living room/purge toys: It may be that time again to put away some of Allison’s toys that she doesn’t play with anymore.
That’s about all I can do this week! Just way too busy with other things.

Wow -- a year of daily slow cooking is a lot, but it gets too warm in the summer to use ours much. Still I always have tons of leftovers when I use mine. My kids are a little older, but they still have that house! :)

Oh yes, I totally need to write my goals down! I have such trouble keeping my momentum going during the week, and that would be a great way to do it! :)
Plus, you've reminded me that I NEED to do a toy purge!

I tend to do only a little better with written goals. =P Maybe I need to keep a list in front of my face every day to remind me that hey, I have stuff to do!

Girl, she is so obsessed with this house! Best Christmas present ever. Her favorite thing to do is cram as many people in the kitchen as she can and tell me they're making dinner for her.

Yeah, I wish I could have lasted the whole year. =) There's just 3 of us, and Allison doesn't really count because she barely eats my dinners. If I had more family members, this probably would have been no problem!
