Goals For This Week 4/20

Sharing is caring!

Goals

It’s been kind of a dreary week here! Kind of rainy and cloudy, so we haven’t been able to get out much. I’m so ready for more sunny weather so we can play outside!

It’s been a real struggle recently trying to balance blogging and family, and keeping the household sane. I’m sad to say that not much cleaning has been done this week! However, the child’s still alive, and I made a bunch of things to put in the freezer, like oatmeal chocolate chip banana bread and a bunch more smoothie packs using up the rest of our bananas.

I also accepted an awesome opportunity to be part of the leadership team in our local MOPS group! If you’re a mom of any children under 5, I highly recommend looking for a MOPS group in your area; the moms there have kept me from being unbearably lonely and have helped me grow in my walk with God. I’ve also opened up a bit, which is HUGE for me; I’m so anti-social but keep forcing myself into social situations to better myself and make new friends! I’ll be working on advertising and social media, which is right up my alley and is very similar to what I do with blogging!

So let’s see how I did with my goals last week!

Work out 5 days this week and drink a protein smoothie every day: The smoothies I completed! I had planned to do a big workout every other day, with an ab workout inbetween. This ALMOST happened, but one day was blotched because someone decided a nap wasn’t in that day’s schedule!

Play outside more: I think we were only out twice this week due to random rain. We did manage to go to the historical farm Saturday, though! Allison had fun looking at the cows and sheep, and tried to chase a chicken.

Goals for this week

Reach 200 Facebook Likes: As of the time this is being written, my page has 153 likes! That’s incredible! I wonder if I can reach 200 by this Sunday? It’s a huge stretch, but I bet I can do it! If you haven’t Liked my page yet, you can do so on the right sidebar, or click here to go to my Facebook page! And if you like what I do and think others would benefit, feel free to share my page with your friends!

Reach 500 page views in one day:  I know the week before I had an AMAZING day of 930 hits! I think last week I tapered off to about 200-300 a day, which is still awesome! To think that so many people are reading what I put on here and are benefiting from it is just a great feeling. To reach this goal, I need to advertise! Any bloggers out there reading this have parties I can link up with? =) Again, if you like what I do and want to share with others, feel free to share any of my posts on Facebook or Pinterest. There are buttons conveniently located at the bottom of each post!

Practice patience: This is what I struggle with constantly. God never really gives you patience; He just gives you opportunities to BE patient! I was definitely tested this week with Allison and may have yelled a couple times. My goal this week is to not raise my voice at her.

Stop snacking: I have a bad habit of eating lots of snacks throughout the day. When Allison gets one, I usually realize I’m hungry and will grab something as well. When you’re trying to become healthier, lots of snacks tend to set you back! I’ll try to find things for breakfast that are healthy but will keep me full until lunch.

Funnily enough, I work in childcare for a MOPS type group. So I do go, sort of, but not really! Good for you, keeping up with the workouts :)

That's awesome! We so appreciate our childcare workers. They help keep us sane for 2 hours!

What, no snacks? I find that the best way for me not to snack is to just not be at home where all the food is. :P At work, I never snack because there's no food there! :P Not a very practical solution if you have to be in your house a lot of the time, though.

That's exactly my problem, haha. I'm at home all the time so there's always something. I did have my husband take all the junk snacks to work with him, so that did help some.

I am right there with you- trying to juggle blog, family, kids, house etc. It's hard finding a balance. I'm really working on it. Hopefully we figure it out!

Weirdly I'm on a diet where I have to do LOTS of snacking so I've got the opposite goal. Liked your Facebook page, I hope you reach your target by Sunday :)

Thank you! =) I've tried the eating 6 smaller meals throughout the day, but it just didn't work. I still kept eating really big at the main meals.
