How was your January? Usually the months tend to go by pretty fast for me, but for some reason this month has been super slow. I didn’t have a goals post for January, mainly because I had a single catch-all post for all of 2017. I had goals, but I just didn’t post them. Starting this month, though, I’m back on track! February is going to be pretty busy with work, so I’m keeping my goals a little lighter; I’m pretty sure I can do all of these!
Run once a week- I’m signing up for a 5k that’s at the end of March; the first of my once-a-quarter 5ks! The problem is, I haven’t started training for it. The only times that I can go out are in the evening right after Allison goes to bed, when it’s dark and colder, or in the afternoon on the weekends, when I’m supposed to be doing blog work. Winter running is horrible, and I wish I had a gym membership so I can do stuff inside, but I’ll work with what I have and bundle up!
Try to take Allison outside once a week- I really hope I can do this, but really, it’s February. Winter in Ohio has pretty much hit us and I don’t foresee warmer weather anytime soon. Like I said in my post on Sunday, I don’t have a snowsuit or really warm winter clothes, so I may go to Goodwill to see what they have. She’s also recovering from an ear infection (her first one), so it’s been rough even leaving the house for the past week and a half.
Go on a date with John- We have one scheduled for next Friday, and I can’t wait! It’s held at our church, and childcare is included; it’s going to be amazing.
Buy and cut a whole pineapple- This is kind of embarrassing, but I’ve never bought a whole pineapple. I always get the canned stuff, which is pretty good, but I want to know how to prepare a pineapple myself. Time to go to Youtube and learn!
Start Elite Blog Academy- This starts up this month and I’m really excited! I don’t know how long it’ll take to finish, but I know good things will come out of it. I plan to spend at least a few evenings a week this month working on it.
Work on book- I started out strong at the beginning of the month and then let it fall to the side. I have specific goals for this on paper and plan to refer to it this month to keep myself on track.
