I am feeling great this week! The weather has been great the past few days, which means more walks and playing outside! I’ve also gotten into some good routines and great things have been happening on the blog!
First of all, I’m in my second week of working out and I feel awesome! I’m still working my way up to longer workouts, but I can already feel my legs getting stronger and I have more energy.
I made these smoothie packs for breakfast/lunch this week! Inside each bag is banana, strawberries, and pineapple. I’ll then add some chocolate protein shake mix (affiliate link) and some almond milk to make an awesome protein smoothie for after my workouts!
I mentioned last week that my post, How We Ate for $37 a Week for a Year, had pretty much gone viral. This past Thursday I found out I was one of the most clicked links on Living Well, Spending Less’ Thrifty Thursday! I was in shock, but so excited that I’m able to help so many people! I’ve gone from 50 or so page views a day to 300+. I want to thank all of you who read the post and shared it! It means so much to me.
Speaking of my blog, I decided to stop the Blog a Day challenge this month. I really tried, but I found myself just throwing something together because I didn’t have a lot of time after creating a different post that day, and I really wanted my best work on here. I’ll probably participate another time, when I have more time and better writing skills!
So let’s see how I did on my goals last week!
Drink 64 ounces of water every day: I think I got all 7 days! I probably won’t include this anymore since I seem to be hitting it every day now.
Workout 5 days this week: I think I did 3 full workouts, and maybe 2 mini ones, so it sort of counts! I need to invest in more workout clothes so I don’t end up washing them every day.
Reach 1,000 page views in one day: Thanks to being featured on Living Well, Spending Less, I reached 930 page views on Thursday! That’s more than I ever could have dreamed, and I’m so excited!
Goals for this week:
Workout 5 days this week and drink a protein smoothie every day: Anyone else have a child that’s scared of the blender? My only option of doing this is early in the morning, and I’m hoping the fan in her room makes enough noise to help mask the blender!
Play outside more: The weather’s supposed to be a lot nicer this week! There’s a farm/historical center just down the road that I’ll try to take her to a couple times this week and look at the animals.
Apparently I don’t give myself enough goals! I’ll work on that and give myself something to push towards.
